Tree risk assessments
The method we use for tree risk assessment follows Visual Tree Assessment (VTA), it evolves around the evaluation of the tree, where the external parts of the tree are assessed. After thorough research, failure patterns in trees were recognised, explained and confirmed. This research was done by Prof C. Mattheck and his team of the Karlsruhe University in Germany. By looking at bulges in trunks and branches, bark patterns, fungal fruiting bodies, old and new wounds etcetera, a tree is inspected visually. In fact, what the assessor is looking at is the body language of the tree where, when done properly, internal and external defects are recognised with certain accuracy.
We are qualified:
Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) is an internationally recognised model, which enables accredited users to determine the annual risk of harm from tree and branch failure.
Tree care / fine pruning
What is most important for us that people enjoy their trees and feel safe in their environment, without compromising the health of their trees.
Many years of climbing trees has taught us how to recognize potential failures and by using proactive measures we ensure you can keep enjoying your trees longer without compromising safety.
Utilizing modern tree climbing techniques, we can reach most parts of the tree, by making multiple cuts further out in the canopy we encourage a more natural and pleasing looking tree. In doing so we can still increase the light and views that are important for many of our clients
